Pragadha Subbarao K is credited with raising the Telugu flag in the international medical arena. Medical scholars like Yalla Pragda Subbarao, who discovered antibiotics for many deadly diseases in the medical field and saved the lives of millions of people, are rare. Yalla Pragadha Subbarao was born on 12 January 1895 in the town of Bhimavaram in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. This is the Sanatana 6000 Niyogi Brahmin clan. Subbarao's father was Yalla Pragada Jagannadham and his mother Venkamma. Subbarao Garidi was from a poor middle-class Brahmin family. The father worked as a revenue inspector and was financially distressed with Gampedu Samsara. Subbarao's education did not go smoothly due to poor economic conditions. He studied in Rajahmundry and passed the matriculation examination in the third attempt. He studied Inter Education at the Presidency Medical College, Madras. Subbarao's friends, like Kasturi Suryanarayana Murthy, bear all the expenses of his studies. Subbarao married the daughter of Kasturi Suryanarayana Murthy. Yalla Pragda Subbarao was not only a doctor but also a freedom fighter who accepted Gandhi's call and actively participated in the foreign textile boycott movement.

Subsequent research into the work of Yalla Pragda Subbarao has been instrumental in bringing modern medicine closer to the common man. Penicillin and streptomycin antibiotics, which have already been discovered by alexander fleming, are in the medical field. Apart from these two, Subbarao discovered a variety of antibiotics that could completely cure the patient's disease.
