Sushruta - biography
Sushruta is like a heartbeat to the medical knowledge of
Ayurveda. Apara Dhanvantari Sushruta, who successfully performed surgery in
India and saved many lives before other countries in the world opened their
eyes. Although historians believe that Sushruta belonged to the region of 800
AD, according to our Indian mythology, Sushruta dates back to more than 5,000
years ago! Sushruta was the son of Vishwamitra Maharshi. King Kashi was a
disciple of Dhanvantari. Adding surgery to Ayurvedic medicine, it has been
instrumental in giving perfect health to human beings and in surgically
grafting amputated body parts in catastrophic situations. Sushruta used 120
types of medical devices for surgery a few thousand years ago. Sushruta
introduced to the world's doctors the grafting of severed body parts, the
detection, and removal of foreign substances accumulated or infiltrated in the
body, the removal of damaged teeth, and the surgical removal of varicose veins
without harm to the patient. How to remove the prostate gland with any
precautions? What are the different types of fractures? What are the principles
for performing surgery on it? Sushruta discovered many such scientific methods
thousands of years ago and presented them to the human race. He found that there
are 12 types of fractures. Proved scientifically how to remove stones that
accumulate in the urinary tract. He successfully removed cataracts from his
delicate eye through his surgical procedure. He terrorized the world by
piercing the abdomen and the lining of the stomach with needles as thin as an
ant's head. Sushruta was the scientist who conducted and guided the autopsy
thousands of years ago. Sushruta provided a wealth of knowledge on the regular
development of the baby in the womb, the stages of fertilization, the regular
maturation of the uterus at nine months, and the stages in the growth of the
baby. The study of human anatomy mentioned in detail as an adjective of body
parts. He found alcohol to reduce post-operative pain. He concluded that the
human body is susceptible to 1120 types of diseases at different stages of
life. During his lifetime, Sushruta healed many and made hundreds of disciples.
Sushruta also wrote a great book called Sushruta Samhita on comprehensive
information on surgery. This Sushruta Samhita was translated into Arabic in the
8th century AD as Kitab Shashun a Hind Kitab I Sushruta.
Sushruta-Sushruta Samhita
The Ayurvedic treatise Sushruta Samhita is the first
authentic treatise available to Ayurvedic physicians. It was written by
Sushruta in Sanskrit. There are 184 chapters in this Sushruta Samhita. Of which
1120 proved to be the most common disease of man. As well as the anatomy of
the human body, the structure of each organ is described in detail. The
medicinal properties of over 700 medicinal plants are exemplified by how each
plant can be used as a medicine for any disease and reduce disease. Given how
to make medicines from 64 types of minerals. There is also medical science that
makes 57 medicines from animal organs. The Sushruta Samhita contains the
complete knowledge of Ayurvedic surgery. There are basically two parts to this
book. The first is the Purva Tantra and the other is the Uttaratantra, which
describes the Ashtanga heart mentioned in Ayurveda in this book.
Plastic surgery: Sushruta introduces plastic surgery to the
world! Plastic surgery is the removal of a severed part from another part of
the body and restoring it to its original shape. Sushruta explained the basic
principles of plastic surgery. In his Sushruta Samhita, Sushruta Maharshi
clearly explained to the doctors the procedure of plastic surgery to
separate the skin from the sensitive body parts and cover it with new skin,
twist the muscles, and apply make-up on the damaged parts, completely remove the
burnt skin and cover the new skin. Kranti Darshi Sushruta Maharshi, who
nurtured Ayurveda thousands of years before the birth of Western allopathic
medicine, has been a pioneer in world medicine by performing many successful
surgeries that are astonishing even to advanced surgeons.
